We are currently looking for an Intern to support our growth. The new joiner will start his/her career in Miebach collaborating with clients and project teams to enhance supply chain efficiency and contribute to cost savings, understanding and modeling the Clients current operational processes, identifying main pain points, defining and developing solutions, and supporting implementation activities.
This role presents an excellent career opportunity to develop supply chain modelling and design skills in multiple industries in an international environment. This position requires domestic travel depending on project requirements.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Data Processing: Collect, organise, check and support the preparation of operational data provided by clients.
- Process Analysis: Analyse logistics, warehouse and material-flow processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Model Creation: Support the preparation of calculations and models for capacity, personnel, costs, investments and operational requirements.
- Engineering Solutions: Contribute to warehouse layouts, process design, material-flow analysis and automation concepts.
- Data Analysis and Visualisation: Support calculations, analysis, charts and visualisations to communicate findings effectively.
- Project Documentation: Assist in preparing reports, presentations, process maps, layouts and action plans.
- Client Support: Participate in internal meetings, workshops and client discussions when required.
- Project Coordination: Complete assigned tasks efficiently and according to the project schedule.
- Offer Preparation: Support the preparation of proposals and technical content for client offers.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, project managers, engineers and colleagues from other Miebach offices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Data Science or a related field, either completed or currently in progress.
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline is a plus.
Skills/ Experience:
· Experience: No previous professional experience required. Previous internships or academic projects are a plus.
· Basic knowledge of logistics, supply chain processes, warehouse operations or industrial engineering.
· Analytical skills and ability to work with quantitative information.
· Good command of Excel and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of data analysis, simulation, Power BI, SQL, Python or other technical tools is a plus.
· Interest in warehouse design, material flow, automation and operational improvement.
· Ability to understand and interpret processes, data and technical documentation.
· Active communication and presentation style.
· Strong team-player attitude and good interpersonal skills.
· Curious, proactive and willing to learn.
· Success-oriented, resilient and flexible.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Languages: Spanish and English. Other Language are a plus (Portuguese, French, German …)
